Mission Statement

To ensure that criminal offences are prosecuted in a consistent and timely manner; that Government, its affiliated bodies, statutory boards and corporations receive professional and quality legal services together with sound legal advice,; that legislation, as required by Government Ministries and portfolios is drafted and revised in a timely manner.

Engaging in registration of standards for tax information exchange.

Key Objectives For 2001

1. To form a resource centre through accommodation of the Law School, Legal Department, Legislative Drafting and Law Revision for law in the same premises.

2. To improve international criminal co-operation and legal assistance.

3. To define and implement a programme of continuing legal education.

4. To integrate legislative drafting, law revision and law reform.
